Smoked herring.

Njardar's is a family business now in its fourth generation, and opened its first smoke house in 1927. Njardar's smoked products are made according to the traditional methods, which makes us able to preserve the best quality on the market, through our brand marks.

Salted herring.

Njardar's salting prosess is a secret of trained and experienced workers. We are using old methods and know-how to create our highly valued product for the world wide market. We are producing a lot of different types of herring products, some, specialized to spesific markets.

Dried salted cod-fish.

Njardar's skilled workers are handeling the cod with great care, to preserve and maintain the best quality. Our fish products are made according to longlasting traditional methods. We are ofcause using modern equipment to be able to compete in the world market, but to preserve Njardar's reputation as a leading producer, we are using manual laboring to a large extend, to secure our reputation as an international leading quality producer.

Quality testing and control.

Njardar's fish products are famous for its quality. Our own made quality tests, according to the longlasting traditional methods of our holding company, excides the norms of international regulations. We are using modern equipment to be able to preserve our quality brands, but nevertheless, the trained skills of highly efficient and motivated workers are indeed of great importance to us.

Packing and storing.

We are using modern equipment to be able to preserve the quality of our products, until it is beeing served around the wide world. Njardar's herring products are packed by hand into wooden boxes. This is your best insurence of our excellent and uniqe quality. This is also a big advantage regarding, storing and transportation. You can always rely on the quality brands from Njardar.

Export Markets

In addition to its own products, Njardar AS also exports fish and fish products for other Norwegian companies. Njardar's main export markets are, the Mediterranean contries, and the West Indies, regarding smoked products. Salted herring and mackerel goes mainly to the northern Europe. Cod and other fish products have their main markeds in Brazil.
